Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Program Manager Director for large design and/or design-build projects supporting our New York Metro Market. They will have overall responsibility for highway bridge projects from design phases through providing technical support during the construction phases. The Program Manager Director will manage a portfolio of projects and assist in growing AECOM’s market share for client projects.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead and manages large to very large size programs which have high levels of execution complexity and significant strategic value to the firm.
Provide the organization with strong technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery.
Work with Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.
Coordinate the technical content of the project with various disciplines (highway, bridge, environmental, traffic and public involvement, etc.) and supervise the subconsultants.
Interface with clients at meetings to discuss and coordinate the design/delivery.
Manage and lead the overall project including technical, financial, schedule, and client satisfaction.
Establish scope, work plan and work schedule and ensure this is communicated to the Project Staff and Department Managers.
Comply with company’s safety awareness program and policies.
Manage groups of Engineers, Designers and/or Specialists towards development of design documents and contract deliverables with minimal guidance or supervision.
Train, mentor and develop staff Maximize profit while minimizing risk.
Manage marketing and proposal preparation.
Ensure that QA/QC procedures are being implemented and ensure the technical quality of documents as well as response to the clients comments.
Incorporate innovation in design and delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
* 12 years of related design experience
* Must have an active NYS Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Experience with NYS Transportation Agencies
Preferred Requirements:
* Recent relevant experience/relationship with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ
* 20+ years of related experience
* Experience leading Highway/Bridge programs from design through construction

Relocation is not available.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $270000 to $300000.
