    Cath Lab Registered Nurse Location: Baptist Health Richmond

    About the Role

    Baptist Health Richmond is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within a fast-paced catheterization lab. The RN will assist with patient preparation, procedural sedation, circulation and scrubbing during cases, and post-procedure recovery. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to interpret dysrhythmias, and competency in caring for patients undergoing right and left heart catheterizations, interventional procedures, and vascular access management.

     

    This assignment supports an immediate need for a Cath Lab RN with EPIC experience and a strong procedural background.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures

    + Circulate and scrub during Cath Lab procedures (scrub preferred)

    + Administer and monitor procedural sedation

    + Perform pre- and post-procedure patient assessments

    + Monitor and document vital signs and hemodynamic changes

    + Interpret and manage dysrhythmias

    + Support pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring

    + Prepare patients for procedures and ensure accurate consent documentation

    + Maintain computerized documentation in EPIC

    + Provide discharge teaching on procedures, medications, wound care, and activity

    + Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

    Shift Schedule

    Shift: Day Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4×9.5 hours) Weekends/Holidays: As required by department needs

    Minimum Requirements

    + Active KY or Compact RN license

    + ACLS/BLS

    + Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience

    + EPIC experience required

    + Experience with procedural sedation

    + Experience circulating Cath Lab procedures

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)

    + Current health certificate (per state/contract regulations)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

    + Strong communication skills; English proficiency required

    + Computer proficiency required

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

     

    Compensation Packages

     

    Travel RN Hourly Pay: $38 Meals: $476 Housing: $770 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,766 Distance Requirement: Must live 75+ miles from facility

    + Diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations

    + Interventional cardiac procedures

    + Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

    + Pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring

    + Procedural sedation

    + Computerized documentation in EPIC
