    Job Description

    Position Summary

    Responsible for maintaining facility related equipment, production equipment, building, parking lots and property.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons

     

    • Responsible for the maintenance of the organization’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems

    • Assists in the maintenance of property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through completion of preventive maintenance programs according to specifications

    • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, building, and property as needed

    • Completes daily Standard Work task lists and event reports

    • Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to implement maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests

    • Assists in the maintenance of proper inventory levels

    • Assists in fire and safety inspections corrects any discrepancies; ensures property complies with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations

    • Assists in maintaining waste disposal, including any hazardous waste such as acetone, mineral spirits, or solvents.

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Experience

    • High School Diploma, job specific training and equivalent work experience preferred

    • 5+ years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

    • Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills

    • Familiar with city and state building codes and OSHA requirements

    • Commitment to excellence and high standards

    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow

    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

    • Creative, flexible and innovative team player

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

    • Familiar with Maintenance Connection software

    • Possess a strong sense of urgency

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels

    • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

    • Bilingual skills a plus

    • Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions

    • Ability to perform the physical labor as necessary

    • Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

    • Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance

    • Use of ladders and scaffolds

    • Working with parts of various sizes and weights

    • Repetitive shoulder/arm/hand motion

    • Move furniture, materials and equipment

    Work Environment

    • Some of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high

    • Outside weather conditions

    • Handling of small amounts of general and hazardous waste. Hazardous waste includes solvents, acetones, and mineral spirits. General waste may include hydraulic oil, mixed water/cleaning solutions, and general cleaning agents such as soaps and detergents.

     

    Additional Information

    Salary and Benefits:

    The hourly range for the position is $32-34/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
