    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position is in the Division of Technology and Innovation, Bureau of Education Data Center reporting to the Program Management Director.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Employee will assist in performing IT Production Control Migration; Activities include identifying analyzing and controlling configuration changes to Agency software and websites.

    + Assist Senior Systems administrator in software installation, support and documentation.

    + Employees are expected to demonstrate skill in system administration and perform system administration functions. This includes developing or reviewing procedures, performing application deployments and immigration and providing weekly status reports to the infrastructure manager.

    + Mandatory skills require: Window Server 2016/2013/2022/2025 knowledge required.

    + Knowledge required: IIS 6/7.5/8.0/8.5 configuration and support; Experience implementing enterprise level applications.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Two years of direct work experience in an IT related field.

    + Mandatory skills require: Window Server 2016/2013/2022/2025 knowledge required.

    + Knowledge required: IIS 6/7.5/8.0/8.5 configuration and support; Experience implementing enterprise level applications.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience with capacity analysis, performance monitoring, relational databases and Windows System Administration.

    + Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with supervisors and fellow coworkers. The information can be exchanged face-to face, in writing or via telephone/electronic transfer.

    + Knowledge to evaluate and reason with information and data to make decisions and solve problems. Ability to coordinate work and activities of work groups to accomplish tasks.

    + Ability to access technical problems and determine resources needed to resolve any problems.

    + Working knowledge or server hardware and enterprise software and use the ability to make recommendations pertinent to the environment.

    + Ability to use logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to solving problems.

    + Knowledge to gather information and use the information for implementing ideas and programs to improve employee performance or service to customers. ·

    + Knowledge of operational and technical environments for use in making decisions for future growth or change to the organization. ·

    + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Must possess the following: time management skills; organizational skills; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. ·

    + Knowledge of PowerShell scripting. ·

    + 24/7 System Monitoring and auditing; timely response to alerts.
