    Overview:A Packer is responsible for packing the muscles and proper placement of muscles in molds.

    Job Description:

    Responsibilities:

    + Pack product to specifications as outlined in the SOP

    + When performing the scaling position weigh to requirements as outlined in the SOP

    + Inspect the meat in the performance of the job to ensure quality and specifications are attained.

    + Train other team members to be a back up packer.

    + Maintain a neat, clean, safe work area.

    + Must work as a team player ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe and efficient manner and communicate well with other team members.

    + Must follow company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, Plant Rules and Policies

    + Assist other departments as assigned by Supervisor/Lead/Manager

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Must be able to work in room temperatures that run below 40 degrees.

    + Must be willing and able to perform other job functions as needed.

    + Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
