    CAES is seeking an Engineering Manager to work on challenging programs in support of advanced electronic sub-systems and components for Radar, Electronic Warfare and Missile applications. This role requires strong engineering background coupled with personnel management skills to manage a small engineering staff of 5 to 10 engineers. Travel requirements are minimal (<10%).

    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical leadership and management of technical staff.

    + Set direction and driving a team of highly skilled engineers with diverse RF, mechanical, electronic design, and testing experience.

    + Provide engineering expertise and support to operations and other functions as needed to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, profitability, and continuous improvement objectives.

    + Manage integrated product team (IPT) activities as engineering manager for assigned programs, proposals, and IR&D activities.

    + Work collaboratively with the other site leaders to enable cross-functional and cross-site teams to realize the full strength of engineering capabilities, including coordinating resource assignments, tool selection, process and procedure development.

    + Talent management, including recruitment, mentoring, training, development, performance management, and succession planning, to assure that skilled resources are available to support required tasks ensuring that the core technical competence of the engineering department remains current, competitive and efficient.

    + Resource planning, including monthly updating of labor loading analysis, to assure appropriate assignments for personnel, matching engineering skill sets and capacity to program needs and identifying and addressing gaps where found.

    + Identification of capital, licenses, tools, etc. necessary for the team to successfully execute product development, proposal, production support, and R&D responsibilities.

    + Participate and adjudicate requirements specification compliance analysis, design validation, product integration, and transition to production support.

    + Management of department expenses, including indirect expenses, to satisfy the business performance goals while complying with the department budget.

    + Assuring that engineering activities are performed in accordance with ISO9001, AS9100, and other quality standards and guidelines, including application of appropriate tailoring based on the complexity and risk of individual programs.

    + Lead, participate in, and facilitate continuous improvement efforts related to engineering development, test readiness, production readiness, and other engineering-related topics using Kaizen, A3, and other continuous improvement methods.

    + Manage engineering Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data collection and reporting for assigned programs.

    + Drive improvements in engineering performance metrics.

     
     

    + Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

    + Must be eligible for security clearance due to contractual requirements

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.

    + 3 years of experience in people management.

    + 10 years of experience in Engineering field

    + Experience with technical and proposal generation including bases of estimates.

    + This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export law. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

    Preferred:

    + Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE+) or related technical field.

    + 5 years of experience in RF/Microwave Engineering

    + Active security clearance

    + Ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as SAP

    + Experience with drawing-viewing programs such CAD or CAE.

    + Experience in designing, testing and troubleshooting RF/Microwave sub-systems integrated microwave assemblies and components.

    + Working knowledge of component design to include amplifiers, filters, misers, oscillators and switches

    Pay and Benefits:

    + The annual base salary range for this position is <$144- $179>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

    + This position is incentive plan eligible.
