+ Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, Social Work, counseling, or related field from an accredited college/university.
+ Effective written and verbal communication.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once while thinking strategically, and
+ effectively, in a constantly changing environment.
+ Ability to create relationships with both internal/external community partners.
+ Experience in researching and implementing effective program services to students.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following areas:
+ Overseeing programs that provide childcare or family assistance services.
+ Academic advising, counseling, and/or case management.
+ Career development, academic advising, and student development models, student services, design of programs, or related area
+ Leading, hiring, training and supervising staff
+ Grant administration, program management and fiscal management
+ Analyzing data, preparing reports, and carefully monitoring grant progress/objectives.
+ Ability to use data to interpret best practices, changes in programming or staff priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Degree in early Childhood Education, Education, Social Work, counseling, or related field from an accredited college/university.
+ Bilingual Spanish
+ Experience working with SAP /Excel for complex budget reconciliation.
+ Experience with Lacai or other student databases used to monitor participant files, contacts, and records.
Job Description
The Director for the Child Care Access Means Parents In Schools ( CCAMPIS ) Program reports to the Executive Director for TRIO Programs.
The Director will be responsible for coordinating and providing administrative oversight for all components of the CCAMPIS Program.
The Director manages a caseload of student-parent participants, coordinates program recruitment and eligibility, encourages ongoing participation, and coordinates data collection for reporting and program evaluation.
Evening and weekend work may be required. This position is in-person on the San Marcos campus.
Job Duties
+ Direct, plan, implement, and evaluate all CCAMPIS program activities inclusive of all required services.
+ Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate CCAMPIS GRA’s and administrative staff.
+ Direct the case management of CCAMPIS program participants.
+ Develop partnerships with appropriate Texas State administrative, academic faculty, and support personnel.
+ Manage budget & administrative operations inclusive of active budget reconciliations.
+ Maintain and manage program records and files.
+ Complete the CCAMPIS Annual Performance Report yearly. Prepare other reports as needed and requested.
+ Prepare monthly director reports and ensure monthly staff reports are completed.
+ Provide program representation and program outreach.
+ Maintain a commitment to research-based initiatives, inclusive of research focused on childcare, early childhood curriculum, and other academic success programs/initiatives.
+ Establish and maintain engagement with local, regional, and national community agencies, transfer institutions, and other external partners.
+ Develop professional and friendly relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
+ Market and promote the CCAMPIS program via the use of social media and websites.
+ Other duties as assigned.
