About the Role:
The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations in our 24-hour cold storage facility, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of inventory and shipments. This position leads a team of warehouse associates, coordinates workflow, and maintains a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. The Warehouse Lead serves as a key liaison between warehouse staff and management, facilitating communication, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
This role operates on two shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM, and associates must be prepared to work extended hours until the job is completed. The position enforces a strict No-Fault Attendance Policy and ensures all warehouse activities support overall supply chain objectives and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 3 years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
+ Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
+ Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
+ Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
+ Experience with advanced WMS software and barcode scanning technology
+ Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment
+ Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, motivate employees, and maintain productivity during long shifts
+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations, PPE compliance, and food safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards
+ Plan labor and schedules to meet throughput goals while managing extended shifts and high-volume periods
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements
+ Enforce strict No-Fault Attendance Policy consistently across all shifts
+ Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse team members to promote professional development and performance improvement
+ Collaborate with operations, logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to optimize warehouse efficiency and resolve issues
+ Monitor inventory levels, quality control, and operational KPIs, using data to make staffing and scheduling decisions
