Description:

_Hybrid in Durham, NC_

The Settlement Services team manages essential back-office operations, including data processing, storage, retrieval, and orchestration of end-of-day settlement transactions across retail and institutional channels. Multiple services interact with the team’s API endpoints to support custody and retail use cases.

_Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

+ Design and develop secure, scalable, resilient cloud-based microservices.

+ Build and maintain REST API clients and services.

+ Implement asynchronous messaging between services.

+ Design and manage data models and queries using SQL databases.

+ Author automated unit and integration tests.

+ Containerize services and manage orchestration on AWS.

+ Coordinate builds with continuous integration pipelines and prepare services for deployment.

+ Collaborate with product management to refine requirements and deliver customer-centric solutions.

+ Provide production support, including on-call participation when necessary.

Experience Requirements:

+ Expertise in core Java and Spring Boot.

+ Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.

+ Experience with AWS and containerization using Docker and EKS.

+ Hands-on experience with version control using Git.

+ Experience with asynchronous and resilient messaging such as SNS and SQS.

+ Understanding of microservice architectures and twelve-factor app patterns.

+ Ability to build reliable software for fault-prone environments.

+ Test automation with JUnit and Spring Boot test frameworks.

+ Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments such as Jenkins.

+ Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Kafka experience preferred.

+ PostgreSQL experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

+ AWS certification preferred.
