Description:

The IT Specialist supports and maintains enterprise IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network and system operations in a mission-critical environment.

Pay: $28 - $33 an hour

_Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance._

_This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:

+ Install, configure, maintain, and repair IT systems including Microsoft server environments, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized platforms.

+ Support servers, storage, network services, and associated hardware and software.

+ Integrate and troubleshoot multiple information systems in a networked environment.

+ Perform hardware upgrades, system repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness.

+ Install, configure, and support routers, switches, wireless devices, servers, and workstations.

+ Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN).

+ Diagnose and resolve user and system issues; document changes and configurations

Experience Requirements:

+ Experience supporting enterprise IT environments and Microsoft servers.

+ Hands-on networking experience with:

+ IPv6, EIGRP, BGP

+ VLANs, VPNs, NAT

+ Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.

Education Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field **or equivalent relevant experience** .

+ Relevant certifications preferred (Security+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft, etc.).
