Job Purpose

Sets up and adjusts machinery used to seal, print and apply labels to cartons. Stacks finished cases of product according to specifications. Inputs required information to WMS (warehouse management system) and runs an electric pallet stacker and wrapper; Conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy.

Essential Functions

• Sets up case sealing equipment to proper settings for the line to run to required speeds and to produce consistent quality.

• Understands product specification sheet and makes the necessary changes in tools and techniques to finish specified product with minimal supervision in various stages of assembly

• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis.

• Safely operate pallet stacking and wrapping equipment.

• Move finished product into Freezer and properly scan into WMS.

• Check for proper labels and printed codes as required.

• Read and understand production schedule. Prep machines for next product run.

• Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor

• Work hand in hand with both the lead packer and the line lead.

• Inputs all required information accurately into the WMS system.

• Completes all required paperwork

• Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies

• Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices

• All employees must keep area clean and be responsible for cleaning during down time, during changeovers and at the end of a shift.

• Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.

• Back up for this position is other Palletizer, Lead Packer, and Production Lead

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic Math skills, ability to read and write English, and basic computer skills

• Ability to operate scanner gun

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using both hands, frequent bending, stooping and kneeling with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 25-50 lbs.

• Demonstrates manual dexterity

• Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis

• Must be able to stand for a full shift

• Must be able to work over 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day- ability to work overtime is required.

• Must be able to work intermittently in a cold environment. Entering into the Freezer to secure Finished Product. Freezer temp -10 degrees.

• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
