    Job Description

    Insight Global is currently seeking a Market Analyst to join a fast-growing oil commodities and futures brokerage firm specializing in crude oil, refined products, and energy derivatives. This role sits on a dynamic trading desk and offers direct exposure to exchange-traded energy futures and options. You’ll support brokers through real-time market analysis, trade execution, and client-facing activities and operating in a high-pressure, high-reward environment. Daily responsibilities include evaluating market share, managing and maintaining forward pricing curves, preparing market commentary and trade ideas, and submitting trades to exchanges within strict regulatory windows. You’ll use proprietary software to track trades and orders, reconcile post-trade activity, and coordinate with compliance and operations to ensure documentation and audit readiness. Active Series 3 registration (or willingness to obtain) is required. This is a full time position with the expectation to be in office 5 days per week based out of Houston, Texas.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 1-2 years of experience as an analyst in oil and gas, trading or related environments

    • Excel & Power BI expertise with the ability to manage complex data sets and build dynamic dashboards

    • Energy market exposure, ideally 1–3 years in oil/gas, futures, or commodities analysis

    • Multitasking under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced, real-time trading environment

    • Detail-oriented, organized with a strong attention to detail, compliance with the regulatory body in trade documentation and reporting is top priority.

     

    Series 3 license or willingness to pass the exam as a condition of employment
