    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Equipment/Automation Engineer to work onsite in Spring Valley, NY. This person will be responsible for supporting electric utility projects relative to the SCADA automation, communication, integration, and configuration of distribution systems. They will be responsible for utilizing their testing lab to develop and preform tests on automation devices and sensors to ensure their compliance with company specs This person will be working on collaboration with engineers and SCADA specialists to develop new systems and enhancements/updates to existing systems.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    3+ years of experience as an equipment/automation engineer within utilities

     

    Strong experience in SCADA and automation

     

    Experience with ADMS, RTAC, DMS, EMS, DERMS

     

    Programming experience: Python or similar (Powershell, VB, Java, VTS, JavaScript)

     

    Database experience: SQL or equivalent

     

    Experience with configurating automation control devices such as PLC’s, DCS, SCADA Systems, RTU’s, PAC’s, IPC’a, motor controllers, or control systems

    Experience utilizing testing equipment on devices and developing test plans

    Protocol experience with DP3 and IEEE2030.5

     

    Experience in design and configuration of communications between automation devices and HMI/SCADA Systems

     

    SCADA Platform such as AspenTech OSI, Siemens WinCC, etc.
