    Job Description

    A well-established construction firm is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Fort Lauderdale office. This role is part of the accounting team and involves close collaboration with Construction Project Managers.

    Key responsibilities include:

    1. Overseeing monthly subcontractor billing using Textura, including compliance tracking and payment authorization for subcontractors and subtiers

    2. Recording billings and payments in the ERP system

    3. Performing monthly reconciliations to ensure system accuracy

    4. Assisting in the preparation and posting of monthly construction project invoices

    5. Supporting job audits at various stages (pre, during, and post-project)

    6. Communicating with subcontractors and vendors regarding payment status

    7. Handling general accounting tasks as needed

    Skills and Requirements

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in invoicing and accounts payable

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field (open to Associates)

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

    • Background in construction accounting

    • High integrity, discretion, and a positive attitude

    • Strong team collaboration and client service orientation

    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines consistently

    • Effective problem-solving and communication skills

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint, PROCORE, and Textura Payment Management

    • Experience with lien waiver collection and review
