Sales Development Representative
- Small Batch Standard (FL)

We're the premier, remote accounting, tax, and consulting firm built exclusively to serve the craft brewing industry.
Our mission is to help breweries make profit. And our team is filled with expert, autonomous, adaptable, high performers.
Are you up for the challenge?
We're looking for a full-time, remote Sales Development Representative to join our specialized team.
The main objective of this role is to turn every qualified brewery lead into a high-quality strategy call with one of our Account Executives, owning outreach, speed-to-lead, and lead nurture follow up.
About The Role
This role will report to our Sales Manager and is accountable for the following responsibilities:
+ Set appointments with qualified brewery leads. Your first and highest priority is to respond to all inbound leads in under 5 minutes whenever possible, aiming for a “wow that was fast!” response from every brewery that reaches out, acting as a front-line representative of the SBS brand. Once you have them on the phone, your goal is to qualify (owners of $1M to $10M breweries) and book the prospect on an AE's calendar at the earliest available time slot and ensure a seamless handoff and experience.
+ Live event lead capture and setting (Surge Mode). As a subset of your main objective, you'll also work in lockstep with our Event Marketing team to send pre-event outreach and work post-event lead waves (often 30+ at once) by prioritizing, contacting, and booking owners into AE calendar slots. You'll work in pre-blocked same-day surges as well as execute a rigorous, 7-day follow up process to maximize booked calls and shows afterwards. You may also attend events with the team to work the booth, network, and set calls live on site.
+ Daily outreach, lead nurture, and reactivation (Farm Mode). When inbound demand is lighter, you'll switch into Farm Mode and aim to make 50-80 personalized touches per day. You'll execute event lead outreach, follow up, and nurture, working prioritized lists provided by the Event Marketing team, as well as reactivate previously stalled deals or prospects who have gone cold. Because we work in a small market (less than 10,000 prospects), we expect high quality, long-term, personalized conversations rather than the churn-and-burn approach many sales teams take.
+ Clean handoffs with pristine calendar and CRM management. Your job is to set your AE up for success. So in addition to setting calls, you'll need to execute clean handoffs with clear notes, context, and expectations for every meeting you book. You'll also protect AE time by only booking qualified conversations and managing reschedules to keep show rates high. Lastly, we have a high standard for CRM detail and upkeep so will expect this role to be highly disciplined in record upkeep each day.
Success Metrics
In this role you'll be measured on:
+ 15-30 qualified Strategy/Discovery Calls set and showed each month
+ 50–80 personalized touches/day (email, phone, text) when in Farm Mode
+ Under 5 minute median response time to new inbound leads
+ MQL Booking Rate (% of qualified leads set)
+ Show Rate (% of set calls that show)
About You
We're looking for an individual who:
+ Is hyper detail-oriented. Your manager never has to hound you about updating the CRM. You show up to every call on time, your calendar looks like you're about to rack up an all-time Tetris score, and your diligence in follow-up puts train conductors to shame.
+ Communicates with crystal-clear clarity. Every email is complete, concise and to the point. You have the ability to translate what can often be a highly complex service details into straightforward outcomes they care about. Whether they engage or not, prospects walk away with a positive opinion of our business.
+ Is patiently persistent. You're relentless, and never let an opportunity pass... but also have the self-awareness and control to know when to pull back and wait for the right time to move things forward. You know what it takes to play the long game, and are ready and willing to dive in each day and put in work that may take time to pay off.
+ Moves fast, learns fast. You are fast to action and are comfortable moving forward rapidly with incomplete information. At the same time you're also an autodidact and have the unique ability to self-teach and improve on the fly with very little guidance.
+ Is hungry to grow. You're ready to aggressively pursue your goals and build the skills you'll need to progress into more senior sales roles. We'll give you the resources, coaching and at-bats. Your job is to challenge yourself and capitalize on the opportunity.
Compensation
In addition to the benefits outlined below:
+ Base Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 based on skills and experience
+ Commission: Uncapped based on set opportunities
+ Realistic OTE: $80,000–$95,000 when hitting targets
+ A clear path to Account Executive with significant earning potential increases for top performers.
About Our Culture
We're fully remote, with team members and clients located all across the U.S. and have developed our own unique culture we call The SBS Way, within which we operate, evaluate performance, and make decisions using our core values as a guide:
+ Be Antifragile. Everything we do is an opportunity for learning and continuous improvement.
+ Play The Long Game. We make decisions in the long-term interest of our firm, our clients, and our industry.
+ Act as A Team of Experts. We willingly collaborate and provide feedback to develop ourselves and deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Working At SBS
What it's like working at our firm:
+ High flexibility. We don't have time sheets, don't track hours, and leave it to each team member to determine the best way to complete their work. Your schedule is yours to make.
+ High accountability. We measure and manage to our key performance metrics and ensure each team member takes ownership over their accomplishment with a high level of quality. You own your results.
+ Merit-based career progression. We have clearly established career tracks, performance benchmarks, and mastery levels set for all of our core positions, with a quarterly promotion consideration cycle in place to evaluate your progress. Your progress is under your control.
+ Great pay for great work. We pay based on the things that matter: position (and its market value), level of mastery, and productive output for our firm. You'll be compensated well and can focus on great work.
+ Performance bonuses. Beyond the base salary compensation for each role, individuals who go above and beyond to achieve a higher level of productivity and contribution to our goals will be eligible to receive significant additional performance-based compensation.
+ Generous benefits. We offer a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance enrollment; as well as an IRA match, three weeks of paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.
+ Personal and and team development. Beyond our continuous learning focus, we also provide support for personal development in the form of expense coverage for continuing education (books, courses, training, certifications, etc.) as well as experiential learning (brewery visits, industry events and conferences, etc.). Each year we also meet in person for an all-expenses-paid annual retreat as a team.
Job Requirements
The following basic requirements must be met:

+ Rock solid Salesforce experience and daily CRM discipline.
+ Ability to work remotely with up to 25% travel required to attend industry events.

+ Have a demonstrated ability to do cross-functional remote work.
+ Crystal clear professional written and verbal communication skills.
+ Have a strong, consistent internet connection and a work environment conducive to video calls.
Preferred qualifications include:
+ Previous experience selling high-ticket services ($10k-$100k+ annual contracts).
+ Previous experience in the small business restaurant or hospitality industry.
+ A strong understanding of accounting, finance, and business terminology.
