PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:

+ Provide services similar to those of a physician.

+ Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions.

+ Interpret, monitor and adjust anticoagulation therapy.

+ Supervision of nuclear stress tests and treadmill stress tests in the outpatient practice setting.

+ Will diagnose and treat in collaboration with the supervising Cardiologist, adult cardiovascular patients in addition to a variety of chronic health conditions including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia etc.

+ Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions.

+ Obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories of patients.

+ Determines abnormalities by administering and/or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.

+ Interpreting test results of patients.

+ Will need to work weekdays and potentially take practice some evenings and weekends.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED** **:

+ Skilled in the use of specialized equipment used in respective area of practice

+ Good organizational skills in planning/ implementing daily activities

+ Leadership/mentorship/clinical resource skills

+ Ability to multi-task on a variety of tasks and projects

+ Excellent organization skills

+ Skilled in providing age-appropriate education regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues

Qualifications - External

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

+ 1+ year of experience as a APRN in the Cardiovascular Services Required

+ Active APRN license in the State of Florida

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications

+ Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

+ Advanced APRN Certification
