    Job Description:

    + Applies slings, sling-n-swathe, orthopedic splints, and dressings with proper competencies.

    + Transports unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and stables monitored patients to PCU/med-tele, or accompanies registered nurse to transport patients to specialty units.

    + Assists physician or registered nurse with procedures and exams, including setup and cleanup for sutures, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, and application of orthopedic splints and casting.

    + Performs hourly rounding on patients to keep them informed, ensures they have call bells, pillows, blankets as needed, and that caregiver names are on the boards.

    + Observes and documents the condition of infusion sites and removes IV lines as directed by registered nurse. Performs venipuncture for testing and inserts peripheral venous access (IV) and intraosseous (IO), with or without the use of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), hangs IV fluid without medication, and maintains prescribed IV flow rates.

    AssociateAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Licensed Paramedic (PARA) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

    Pay Range:

    $20.38 - $32.60
