    Summary: ATS is seeking an Operations Manager to support our Chesapeake, VA NDI Lab. This is a Fulltime position.

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    + Guides employees in their day-to-day responsibilities.

    + Has supervisory control over equipment and personnel.

    + Responsible for assisting inside and outside sales teams with marketing of NDI, MI, and Reliability (Inspection) services.

    + Prepare quotes and proposals based on customer requirements and site walk throughs

    + Works directly with customers on Inspection services.

    + Manages services and supplies with the highest quality and safety.

    + Evaluates growth opportunities for the department.

    + General customer relations, including setting up inspections and customer follow-up on such services.

    + Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained.

    + Completion and maintenance of reports

    + Acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for customers

    + Interacting with customers, vendors, and site personnel as a professional representative of ATS

    + Approve time sheets, expense reports, and charge sheets as needed

    + Generally assist the department manager and district manager with duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Experience and Skills:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required

    + Minimum 1-3 years of experience in NDT, including supervisory or management experience

    + Documentation of education, training, and experience in NDT

    + Exceptional customer service skills

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Additional requirements:

    + Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.

    + Excellent communication skills written and verbal.

    + Applicants must pass a drug screen and background check.

    + Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record.

    Work Conditions:

    + Travel 25-50% of time

    + Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

    + ​​​​​Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.

    + Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.

    + Work in and around operating equipment and industrial environments.

    + Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.

    + Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time

    + Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
