Position Summary:
The Operations Manager – Major Accounts will enable and support General Managers, National Account Managers, and Executive Account Managers to resolve complex issues related to finance, maintenance, and/or operations.
The Operations Manager – Major Accounts will collaborate with corporate account leaders on a broad range of topics and needs across their customer portfolios. This role will partner with leaders and teams across the organization to address unique and complex customer needs that require face-to-face interaction with the customer as a Penske subject matter expert (SME) across one or various Penske and/or customer locations.
The Operations Managers – Major Accounts will complete project-based work across Penske’s corporate account portfolio on short- to mid-term projects to address root cause issues, find systematic solutions that leverage Penske systems, and develops recommendations to quickly implement sustainment plans lead by existing corporate account support teams.
This role is not required to be based in Green Hills but frequent travel to Green Hills to collaborate with department leaders across the company is required.
Major Responsibilities:
• Work with senior management on strategic accounts to drive proactive customer service initiatives to foster growth and retention of key customers.
• Use data to identify and predict fleet issues & trends while also developing processes to execute by other supporting teams.
• Collaborate with district locations to implement issue resolution, mitigation, and follow through efforts with follow up to customers.
• Identify where processes should be executed within one of the corporate functions.
• Develop partnerships and collaborate with multiple functional field & corporate departments to drive solutions to improve or maintain levels of customer service and favorable outcomes for customers.
• Partner with General Managers, National Account Managers, and Executive Account Managers to conduct and facilitate business/partnership reviews, coming prepared to speak to operational efficiencies implemented and areas of opportunity.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with a concentration in Business, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, or Computer Science.
• 5 years of field/corporate finance and/or operations experience required.
• 2-3 years of previous experience leading a team preferred.
• Advanced data analysis skills, ability to tells a story with data to customers on operational outcomes and opportunity areas.
• Advanced data and process management skills required.
• Must have strong project management skills.
• Ability to effectively facilitate engaging meetings to achieve a common outcome.
• Ability to navigate complex processes continually assessing current state while planning for future needs.
• Expert skills in MS Office required.
• Must have intermediate skills in Salesforce, ServiceNet, & SmartSheet.
• Communication to Executive leadership will be required.
• Ability to look for issues and create solutions a must.
• Must be established as a product line expert and trusted advisor when collaborating with internal and external customers.
• Ability to delegate appropriately.
• Ability to organize project deliverables and influence teams with differing priorities.
• Must be able to leverage teams and resources to achieve a desired outcome.
• Ability to establish strong credibility with business leaders and stakeholders through functional knowledge, deep understanding of Penske operations.
• Ability to coach and lead dynamic teams across field and corporate.
• Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple critical projects at the same time.
• Ability to travel up to 30% is required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
