Job Description:
+ Shift: Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM
+ Some travel required to the Lady Lakes office - Weekly
+ Disposes of radioactive materials and stores radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
+ Prepares stock radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to workers and patients.
+ Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provides assistance during test procedures.
+ Processes cardiac function studies using a computer and records and process results of procedures.
+ Maintains and calibrates radioisotope and laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning. Gathers information on patients' illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy. Trains and supervises student or subordinate nuclear medicine technologists. Develops treatment procedures for nuclear medicine treatment programs and participates in performance improvement projects. Other duties as assigned. Calculates, measures, and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of, following physician's prescription. Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images. Administers radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients to detect or treat diseases under the direction of a physician. Produces computer-generated or film images for interpretation by a physician.

High School Grad or Equiv (Required), Technical/Vocational SchoolCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range:
$31.55 - $58.69
