Job Description:

+ Serve as the Magnet® Program Director for Bolingbrook and GlenOaks Hospitals.

+ Lead planning, execution, and oversight of Magnet designation or redesignation activities for both hospitals, ensuring alignment and consistency while honoring campus-specific strengths.

+ Act as the primary liaison with ANCC, including application submission, written documentation, interim reports, and site visit preparation.

+ **Nursing Excellence & Professional Practice**

+ Advance Magnet domains: Transformational Leadership, Structural Empowerment, Exemplary Professional Practice, New Knowledge/Innovation, and Empirical Outcomes.

+ Partner with nursing leadership to strengthen shared governance, professional development, nursing research, and evidence-based practice.

+ Support collaboration with academic partners, including UChicago Medicine, to advance clinical excellence and professional practice models.

+ **Outcomes, Data & Documentation**

+ Oversee collection, validation, analysis, and presentation of nursing-sensitive indicators and quality outcomes for both hospitals.

+ Ensure development of high-quality Magnet narratives, exemplars, and supporting evidence.

+ Collaborate with quality, analytics, and performance improvement teams to demonstrate sustained outcomes.

+ **Education, Engagement & Culture**

+ Educate leaders, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on Magnet standards and expectations.

+ Build and sustain a culture of nursing excellence, professional accountability, and engagement across both campuses.

+ Lead staff readiness activities for Magnet site visits, including communication, coaching, and education.

+ **Governance & Collaboration**

+ Facilitate Magnet Steering Committees, councils, and workgroups at Bolingbrook and Glenoaks.

+ Collaborate with system nursing leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise nursing strategy and best practices.

+ Partner with Human Resources, Education, Quality, Research, and Medical Staff leadership to support Magnet goals.

+ **Continuous Readiness & Compliance**

+ Monitor changes in ANCC Magnet standards and translate requirements into operational practice.

+ Ensure ongoing readiness, compliance, and sustainment between Magnet cycles.

Bachelor's of Nursing (Required), Master's of NursingBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:

$111,973.39 - $208,265.21
