    Our NOV Fiber Glass Systems San Antonio facility is seeking to hire a Quality Control (QC) Technician I to join our dynamic night shift team! The QC Technician will be responsible for performing quality control inspection activities, to ensure the compliance of in-process products and finished goods with industry standards, while adhering to NOV policies, procedures and customer requirements.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

    + Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment

    + Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment

    + Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements

    + Documentation and recordkeeping

    + Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product

    + Wear appropriate PPE

    + Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures

    + Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures

    + Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures

    + Other duties as assigned

    + Factory environment with large range in temperature changes

    + Standing, walking, & Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily

    + Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily

    + Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly

    + Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily

    + Dependability/Attendance

    + Detail oriented

    + Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge

    + Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required

    + Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    + Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment

    + Travel less than 10%

    + Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001

    + Basic math
