$5,000 sign-on bonus with two year work commitment!
The MLT or MLS performs a wide range of clearly defined analysis at acceptable levels of competency and on a timely basis. These analyses involve a level of independent judgment as delegated by the supervisor compatible with the level of acquired expertise. The employee performs routine laboratory procedures carefully and conscientiously using predetermined criteria and reports unusual conditions to the supervisor. Proficient and professional communications is required with patients, co-workers and physicians. Performs efficiently and accurately when assisting or carrying out physician orders, including appropriate documentation. Be knowledgeable of resources available within the clinic and throughout the community to provide optimum medical care to patients and their families.
Compensation
Hourly wage range for MLT candidates: $26.40 - $33.79. Hourly wage range for MLS candidates: $30.52-$41.09. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
Shifts
R otating shifts rotating week night and weekend call, 64 hours biweekly.

Qualifications
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities
MLT Candidates
+ Education/Special Skills: High school diploma or equivalent level of education, two years associate applied science degree in clinical laboratory science preferred, laboratory training culminating in National Certification, MLT (ASCP or equivalent) required upon hire or must obtain within six months in position, proficient and professional communication, both verbal and written. Willingness to be BLS certified within the first year of employment. Ability to operate all lab equipment.
+ Physical demands: Ability to do repetitive motions moving hand, wrist and fingers and fingertip touch perception for location of blood vessels. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
+ Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
+ Must be able to attend the work site per schedule and to take call on a rotational basis. Duties may require limited amount of non-scheduled hours as work load requires. Duties may require change of shift to accommodate work load and/or labor shortage.
+ Adequate computer/keyboarding skills.
MLS Candidates
+ Education/Special Skills: A Bachelor of Science degree including an internship under the direction of a Pathologist in an approved laboratory.
+ Must possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS approved laboratory certification (i.e., ASCP or AMT). (If not currently registered, must pass the registry within the first twelve months of employment.) Must maintain approved certification status. Certification renewal must be verified as active 2 months from valid through date.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to follow detailed blood collection and lab procedures. Ability to assist in the research and development of new lab procedures as required by pathologist and technical supervisor.
