Job Description:
Develops, coordinates, conducts, and evaluates a variety of training programs using instructional methodology that follows principles of adult learning styles. Plans and administers American Heart Association classes in-hospital and throughout the community. Enlists, supervises, and evaluates contract instructors, supports them with adequate preparation materials, and utilizes them appropriately for course instruction. Develops new, innovative, and relevant teaching presentations for pre-hospital training and education driven by quality indicators and benchmarking data. Develops and maintains annual EMS Education Program course schedule. Provides and maintains in-hospital clinical scheduling for all pre-hospital EMS students and pre-hospital EMS agency personnel. Collects and evaluates all necessary documentation and supporting data for physician advisorship monitoring of prehospital agencies in-house. Collects and maintains complete records of training including remediation sessions, attendance sheets, course, and instructor evaluations. Reviews classroom, course, department policy, and program changes and implements revisions. Monitors performance prospectively, concurrently, and retrospectively of EMS personnel and hospital staff during interprofessional, interdisciplinary interactions. Advocates and implements progressiveness in EMS care using evidence-based and outcome-based recommendations to improve system-wide development of EMS including protocol changes and trauma system improvements. Educates EMS and hospital personnel about each other’s responsibilities and priorities to ultimately serve in the best interest of the patient. Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate (Required), Bachelor'sBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Instructor BLS (BLS-INSTR) - Accredited Issuing Body, Licensed Paramedic (PARA) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range:
$56,385.46 - $104,868.08
