Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Kapi‘olani Women's Cancer Center is the only facility of its kind in the state and is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulva, and vaginal cancers. Kapi‘olani strives to provide the highest level of women's cancer care in Hawai‘i and the Women's Cancer Center supports a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, addressing all aspects of a woman's treatment, from her physical health to her mental and emotional well-being. In addition, the Center offers patients the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials in collaboration with the Cancer Research Center of Hawai‘i and the National Cancer Institute. Our highly qualified, multidisciplinary team includes board-certified, fellowship-trained GYN oncologists, medical and radiation oncologists, licensed and certified oncology nurses, a gynecologic oncology coordinator to educate patients and assist women through their individualized care plan, certified genetic counselors and other support services.
As the Patient Navigator - Registered Nurse, you will join the multidisciplinary team in the WACC and help to provide compassionate, supportive patient care. This talented and committed individual initiates the management of service activities for these patients, facilitating multidisciplinary communication and providing expert oversight and education to achieve the best patient outcomes. We are looking for someone with superb communications and patient care skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

**Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current BLS/HCP card. Three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing area of specialty demonstrating abilities for self-management, critical thinking, problem resolution, and proven ability to work with diverse personalities and situations.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Master ’s degree in nursing or health related field. Certificate in area of specialty within one (1) year of hire. Experience as a Patient Navigator or one (1) year case management.
