In this role, you will serve as the leader for the physicians and advanced practice providers within Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN). You will also provide clinical leadership, coordination, and ensure collaboration amongst HPHMG providers across Hawai‘i Pacific Health or its affiliates. The HPHMG Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) oversees the work of their respective HPH Division Chiefs including providing key leadership into the development and implementation of system wide clinical standards, clinical care coordination, input into the strategic planning process and program development, physician recruiting and retention, and promotion of physician professionalism and well-being. In addition, the chief must meet all qualifications to be a Medical School Department Chair and hold the concurrent position as Chair, Department of OBGYN at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), University of Hawai‘i.

**Minimum Qualifications:** Must meet all educational and training requirements for Hawaii state licensure. Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, or equivalent. Currently certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), or equivalent. Five (5) years of demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare administration, medical management, or equivalent experience. Ten (10) years of extensive prior clinical experience in general Obstetrics and Gynecology and/or subspecialities.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or a related field, demonstrating formal training in organizational leadership, financial management, healthcare operations, and strategic planning. Additional preparation in Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Patient Experience or Health Systems leadership is highly desirable. Completion of coursework or certification in Clinical Leadership or Physician Executive Development. Completion of formal physician leadership training, such as a leadership fellowship, Chief Medical officer development program, or equivalent certification through nationally recognized organizations (e.g., AAPL, AAMC, IHIH, or similar). Proven track record of successful leadership in a complex healthcare environment, including experience with multi-site or integrated systems. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, clinical program development, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Active involvement in quality and safety initiatives, including leading performance improvement teams and advancing patient-centered care models. History of effective collaboration with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and interprofessional teams to improve clinical outcomes and organizational performance. Experience in faculty development or academic medicine, including teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, or fellows.
