Overview
The Associate Director, Social Strategy is responsible for leading the development of social-first critical thinking that connects brands to people in significant ways across platforms and communities. This role shapes the social vision for client engagements by uncovering behavioral insights, advising on platform‑specific approaches, and guiding content strategy that aligns with broader brand and business objectives.
The Associate Director works closely with creative, account, operations, analytics, and engagement teams to ensure social programs are data-driven, contextually relevant, and grounded in CoLab’s integrated approach. The ideal candidate is an agile strategic thiproblem solver trendspotter, a strong communicator, and a mentor who thrives in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of social strategy grounded in consumer/HCP insight, platform behavior, and cultural momentum.
• Identify emerging trends, behaviors, and opportunities within the social media landscape to inform strategic recommendations.
• Translate insights into clear social content strategies, engagement frameworks, and platform-specific approaches.
• Guide the creation of multi platform content programs that seamlessly connect brand objectives with community needs and behaviors.
• Partner with creative and production teams to ensure content ideas and executions reflect platform standard processes and contextual relevance.
• Define platform and content requirements, find opportunities to levedemonstrate or evolve existing client assets, and lead development of net new content.
• Collaborate with account leaders, strategy, creatives, and analytics partners to build integrated, insight driven programs.
• Develop social engagement models, participation guides, and community management frameworks.
• Provide strategic oversight on day to day community management, serving as the customer concern point for sensitive issues or content decisions.
• Lead workshops and strategic working sessions with clients and internal interested parties.
• Build and maintain a consistent, cohesive user experience across content and community touchpoints.
• Mentor and handle cross functional team members chipping in to social strategy and content development.
• Provide thought leadership and social trends
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Experience in pharmaceutical social media is required.
• Extensive experience developing and executing multi platform social media strategies, including content planning, editorial calendars, and tactical activations.
• Deep understanding of community management, engagement frameworks, publishing workflows, and platform specific creative best practices.
• Experience working in healthcare or regulated categories is required (HCP or consumer).
• Proven ability to lead content strategy, creative development, and production for digital and social environments.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, social platform requirements, and the nuances of social experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing or collaborating with cross functional teams including strategy, account, creative, and production.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills with the ability to protect brand integrity across channels.
• Ability to thrive in fast paced, high pressure environments and adapt to real time shifts (including live event or always on situations).
• Highly fluent in social platforms and digital culture; active participant and early adopter of new tools, technologies, and social behaviors.
• Ability to analyze platform performance, consumer insights, and qualitative/quantitative data to inform strategy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present, facilitate, and influence effectively.
• Professional, diplomatic, and solutions oriented approach; strong judgment and common sense.
• Resourceful, assertive, and proactive with a proven record of driving progress and delivering results.
• 6+ years of experience in online marketing, social strategy, digital content, community management, or related fields.
• Experience with basic front end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP) is a plus but not required.

Compensation Range: $105,165.00 - $165,485.00 anual. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
