Pay Rate:

_The pay rate for this job is $29 - $29 / hour*_

What you'll be doing as a Traffic Systems Technician:

+ Installation & Maintenance: Construct, install, test, and maintain traffic signals, street lights, school zone flashers, and related infrastructure

+ Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and fix electronic failures in traffic controllers, detectors (like inductive loops, cameras), and communication systems

+ Programming: Manually program and adjust traffic signal controllers and timing to optimize traffic flow

+ Data & Systems: Work with traffic data collection systems and communication networks

+ Citizen Response: Investigate and resolve public complaints about traffic signal issues or timing

+ Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergencies, outages, and accidents

+ Documentation: Complete work orders, reports, and logs

+ Physical Work: Perform duties involving climbing, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), Weekends

Job requirements:

+ Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

+ Technical Skills: Electronic troubleshooting, reading blueprints, basic computer skills, understanding of traffic engineering principles

+ Certifications: IMSA Level I & II (Preferred/or minimum 5yrs experience) and Work Zone Safety certifications

+ Licenses: Valid Driver's License (Class B often required), ability to pass DOT physical/drug tests

+ Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength (lifting 50-100 lbs), good vision (including color), ability to work in extreme weather

+ Background check and drug screening required
