Job Description

Eurofins PSS is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to support our cell and molecular biology research initiatives. The primary responsibilities of this role will focus on mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques, contributing to protein, antibody, and virus production as well as molecular cloning workflows that advance therapeutic development programs with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

+ Maintain and expand mammalian cell lines (suspension and adherent) under aseptic conditions.

+ Execute transfection procedures across various cell types.

+ Conduct routine molecular biology activities, including plasmid preparation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, ligation, and bacterial transformation.

+ Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.

+ Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and assist in maintaining laboratory equipment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

+ 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture (suspension and/or adherent systems).

+ Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile cell culture practices.

+ Experience in molecular biology techniques, including plasmid preparation, PCR, gel electrophoresis.

+ Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with transfection methods on the suspension cell culture systems

+ Familiarity with virus production systems

Position is full-time, 8am - 5pm with occasional overtime required.
