    What is Private Duty Nursing?

     

    Private Duty Nursing is one-on-one care in the home for clients with specialized healthcare needs who require continuous hourly nursing care, up to 16 hours per day.

     

    What do PD nurses do?

     

    + Provide One-on-one care and patient interaction

    + Vital signs and physical assessments

    + Administration of medications and treatments (as prescribed by physician)

    + Documentation of patient's ongoing condition

    + G-tubes, trach and vent care possible

    Training:

    + One-on-One Specialized Training

    + Trach, Ventilator and G-Tube Training

    + 24/7 support staff
