    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    + Plan and perform experiments independently.

    + Prepare lab reports.

    + Writes protocol.

    + Interacts with graduate students.

    + Capable of presenting data at meeting.

    + Performs related duties as assigned.

    _MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_

    _Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience._

    _KNOWLEDGE I SKILLS I ABILITIES:_

    + _Ability to plan and perform experiments independently._

    + _Ability to observe and record experiments/research and report accurately._

    + _Writing skills for protocols, reports, journal manuscripts and funding applications._

    + _Mentoring and teaching skills for interaction with graduate students._

    + _Presentation skills._

    SALARY:

    Commensurate with experience.
