    Your role and responsibilities

    The ideal candidate is a content design professional passionate about storytelling and translating complex technical topics for non-technical audiences. With graphic design, writing, and video editing skills, they must bring creative solutions to the table, to create immersive simulations that captivate both executives and technical teams alike as well as engaging marketing collateral. This candidate loves creating unique and thought-provoking content to engage both executive and technical teams.

     

    The IBM X-Force Cyber Range Content Security Consultant role is an Associate role that is about bringing new ideas to the table. You'll collaborate closely with the Creative Lead and our X-Force Cyber Range team to create engaging cyber crisis storylines and injects, case studies, and engagement follow-up content for both executive and/or technical teams. You’ll follow security news and craft relevant case studies, printed worksheets, live delivered injects, and experiences. Additionally, you will help with developing sales and marketing enablement for IBM Consulting Partners. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic role that combines creative storytelling and marketing with technical topics.

    Responsibilities:

    * Collaborate with X-Force Cyber Range facilitators and the Creative Lead to craft cyber crisis scenarios cyberattacks for executive client teams.

    * Research real-world cyberattacks and create engaging case studies for client engagements.

    * Develop relevant scripts and imagery for client engagements using Adobe Photoshop.

    * Support creation of PowerPoint slides for client engagement.

    * Design and update design systems for X-Force Cyber Range team as needed.

    * Film and edit news style videos for client engagements; add light animations, captions, and layovers.

    * Create marketing and sales content such as one-pagers, invites, email or Slack templates, and sales decks for both IBM internal and external client teams.

    * Demonstrate professionalism and client-focused approach, working closely with clients to understand their unique needs and collaboratively develop customized storyboards tailored to their business and industry.

    * Work collaboratively within a team environment, fostering open communication and coordination to deliver seamless, high-impact client engagements.

    * Encouraged to think creatively and develop innovative ideas that enhance the immersion and impact for a memorable client experience.

    * Assist with client experience and engagement as needed.

    * And other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    These positions are anticipated to start in 2026. We have positions open in Washington DC.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

    * Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e Acrobat, Photoshop, Premier pro)

     

    *

     

    * Image editing and graphic design in accordance with design style guides required; should be able to create for screens or print

    * Light video editing required to create client deliverables

    * Able to use and manage design systems and create additional ones as needed

    * Able to research and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical, executive audiences from different industries and regions

    * Must be curious, creative, and attentive to details

    * Understanding of UX and UI principles

    * Excellent multi-tasking skills; must be able to work on several high visibility projects at the same time

    * Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely

     

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    Demonstrated coursework or personal project experience in the following areas:

    * 1-2 years of cybersecurity marketing or content experience

    * 6 months to 1 year of animation experience using Adobe After Effects or other similar tools

    * 6 months to 1 year of Adobe Illustrator for smaller design projects

    * Understanding of social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, and relevant strategies to reach new audiences

    * Marketing experience in events, campaigns, content, or advertising
