Job Summary and Qualifications

Lead Mammographer

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammographer for a lead technician opportunity. You will perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. This is a full-time role. As a Mammographer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation

+ Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

+ Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

+ Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

+ Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 24-month program at an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology school

• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of previous experience as Mammography Tech

• Clear/Active Florida Board of Health licensure (CRT)

• ARRT (M) – advanced certification in mammography

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography

• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
