    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Graphic Designer, is primarily responsible for the conception, creation and execution of online and print assets. This position has an in-depth knowledge of the latest trends in digital and print design, has experience working with a master brand and possesses a breakthrough portfolio of work. This position serves as a team resource for consistent application of the brand and identity platform. HTML-based communication experience preferred.

     

    + Takes guidance/direction of the Sr. Graphic Designer as well as Print Shop Manager

    + Must be able to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects.

    + Demonstrates proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator.

    + Works with Mercy Marketing to implement and maintain the design standard set by Creative Services.

    + Creates materials that support and reflect Mercy’s brand, culture and strategic goals.

    + Maintains the integrity of the Mercy’s brand standards.

    + Works to implement client changes in a timely manner.

    + Maintains knowledge of current graphic-design software and applications.

    Education & Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field Required

    + 3+ years of demonstrated design experience Required

    + Experience in developing visual graphics, production layouts and preflighting jobs. Required

    + Experience in designing html-based communications Preferred

    + Experience with large format printing, cut sheet digital printers, color correction, color proofing and copy-editing a plus. Required

    + HTML-based communication experience Preferred

    + Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Web Design/Layout. Required

    + Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

    Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

    + Graphic Design Certificate Required
