    A DAY IN THE LIFE

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring BSNB's compliance with The Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and other related regulatory requirements. You will approach the position with an analytical and investigatory mind as you review transactional data, and look for proactive measures to assist customers and colleagues.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + Conducts investigations of suspicious activity, including preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports for review and filing.

    + Presents case findings and provides recommendations and prepares SAR narratives for FinCEN filing. Monitors accounts and researches complex transactions for indicators of unusual or suspicious activity.

    + Demonstrates understanding of suspicious activity scenarios and automated alert and case management systems to complete alert and case investigation.

    + Complies with 314(a) and 314(b) (PATRIOT Act) information sharing responsibilities and responds to subpoena and law enforcement inquiries.

    + Prepares, reviews and submits Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) including performing secondary reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy and timely submission.

    + Perform daily OFAC review in and resolve any matches. Ensure compliance with the BSA, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Associates Degree in Business or related field required. Three to five years' prior banking experience in audit or compliance required. Prior experience with Verafin or other BSA/AML software systems preferred. Must have a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software. Demonstrated time management and administrative skills. Must be able to work independently and confidentially.
