Clearance Needed: Secret
Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge of the US military’s use of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Do you have experience with data architecture design and ontology standardization? Imagine yourself working on a top-level, critical mission alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a Data Architect with a passion for improving, documenting, and implementing design and ontology best practices.
Specific Responsibilities:
+ Design and implement data architecture initiatives across INDOPACOM to ensure consistency in data definitions, usage, and interoperability with DoD systems.
+ Lead efforts to standardize data ontologies and labeling practices, ensuring alignment with DoD requirements and operational priorities.
+ Collaborate with military stakeholders to integrate data architecture considerations into operational planning and decision-making processes.
+ Provide expert guidance on data integrity, quality assurance, and governance standards to ensure compliance with DoD policies.
+ Work closely with J-Directorates and external partners to ensure data systems support mission-critical operations and theater-level challenges.
+ Educate and mentor INDOPACOM personnel on data architecture principles, ontology requirements, and best practices for data management.
+ Monitor emerging trends in data architecture and AI/ML technologies, advising leadership on opportunities to enhance INDOPACOM’s capabilities.
+ Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
Required Education/Experience:
+ 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field with a proven track record of supporting military operations; will consider experience in lieu of degree,
+ 5+ years experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data or AI-related topics
+ Strong understanding of DoD operations, data governance frameworks, and interoperability requirements across Combatant Commands.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with military stakeholders and align technical solutions with operational priorities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
+ Possess a strong data analytics or computer science background; experience with big-data and AI/ML concepts
+ Strong organizational and planning skills
+ Active DoD Secret-level security clearance
Preferred Experience:
+ Prior military experience supporting US INDOPACOM activities
+ Prior experience supporting a large team or Branch-level office
+ Experience leading large teams or cross-functional governance bodies, with a demonstrated ability to influence policy and operational outcomes.
+ Expertise in data science tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Databricks, Palantir Foundry) and their application to military operations.
+ Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
