    The Department of Emergency Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks an Assistant Program Director (APD) to support the development, launch, and ACGME application process of a proposed new Emergency Medicine residency training program at the Cleveland Clinic. This is a unique leadership opportunity to help design and implement a high-quality, academically rigorous residency program at one of the nation's premier academic medical centers.

    About the Emergency Department:

    The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Emergency Department is a high-acuity, 24/7 adult and pediatric ED treating over 61,000 patients annually across a state-of-the-art facility with multiple treatment areas and fast-track services. Care is provided to a diverse patient population with complex medical and surgical presentations, making it an excellent environment for resident education.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Support program design, curriculum development, and preparation of ACGME accreditation materials

    + Assist in establishing educational systems, evaluation tools, and resident assessment frameworks

    + Help recruit qualified faculty and future residents

    + Participate in resident teaching, mentorship, wellness, and evaluation

    + Collaborate with institutional GME and departmental leadership on continuous program improvement

    Required:

    + MD or DO degree

    + Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine

    + Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio

    + Demonstrated interest in graduate medical education and academic emergency medicine

    + Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

    The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

    Pay Range

     

    Minimum salary: $362,000

     

    Maximum salary: $422,000
