Join the dedicated professionals at UT Dallas in our Fire and Life Safety Department, where your expertise will play a key role in maintaining a safe and thriving campus. In this critical position, you’ll collaborate with campus partners to ensure compliance with essential safety codes and regulations, including the NFPA Life Safety Code, NFPA Fire Code, International Building and Fire Codes, and all relevant state, local, and federal standards.

     

    As a Fire Inspector, you’ll serve as a technical expert responsible for maintaining and inspecting campus fire sprinkler and alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all NFPA and ICC code requirements.

     

    The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, contractors, officials, and the public. They should be confident working independently, adept at resolving problems and conflicts, and have a solid understanding of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
