    Description:

    Holy Cross Health is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Service Line Strategy to join our team!

     

    The Director for Clinical Service Line Strategy provides executive-level, transformational leadership for the strategic planning, integration, financial performance, and clinical evolution of multiple service lines across the entire care continuum. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, quality improvement, and clinical integration across inpatient, procedural, and ambulatory settings. Working in a dyad partnership with the Medical Directors, this leader aligns the service line’s goals with health system priorities and advances its reputation as a center of excellence.

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    + Co-lead the service line through a dyad leadership model, partnering with the medical directors and/or physician leaders to align clinical and operational goals with corporate priorities and driving performance excellence.

    + Develop, implement, and govern multi-year strategic and business plans (1-, 3-, and 5-year outlooks) that include aggressive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable milestones for quality, growth, and financial viability.

    + Facilitate and lead the service line's executive governance structure, including Strategic Planning and Clinical Quality Committees, ensuring clear accountability and system-wide initiative implementation through Performance Excellence practices.

    + Utilizes process design through the facilitation of TH Leadership Systems and Performance Excellence practices to implement plans and facilitates the implementation of identified initiatives.

    + Ensure alignment of service line initiatives with system goals in care coordination, access, quality, finance, and performance excellence.

    + Understands day-to-day operations of procedural and testing areas, outpatient clinics, and inpatient specialty services to develop strategic growth plans.

    + Optimize resource allocation (staffing, equipment, space) in collaboration with nursing and physician leadership.

    + Coordinate clinical standardization across care settings and facilities to support evidence-based practice and care continuity.

    + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission, infection control standards).

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

    + Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in clinical or procedural service line management.

    + Proven success in service line development, financial stewardship, quality improvement, and team leadership.

    + Strong knowledge of clinical operations, quality standards, accreditation, and healthcare regulations.

    + Excellent interpersonal, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

    **Pay Range:** $121,784 - $188,822/year

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
