SUMMARY
Assist in oversight of Quality Department, ensuring that all the necessary testing is being conducted to guarantee that the product produced meet customer requirements. Provide technical support in the analysis of quality issues, process improvements and various special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
+ Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Actively participate in safety activities.
+ Interpret process data to assist with process improvements and casting defect reduction.
+ Ensures that finished product conforms to customer specifications.
+ Conduct analysis of casting defects and make process improvements including: gating optimization, pattern improvements, core improvements, and process improvements.
+ Oversees the sampling of new and revised tooling.
+ Assist in managing the approval of new products.
+ Promote adherence to ISO 9001:2015 requirements and continual improvement.
+ Provides technical expertise to production personnel and offers specific process improvement recommendations to fulfill quality expectations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assisted in these duties by the Human Resources department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology; and two to five years of experience of foundry or manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
