Our client, a government agency in the technology and data services sector, is seeking a Application Developer to join their team. As a Application Developer, you will be part of the application development and support team supporting data migration and software upgrades. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Application Developer

**Location:** Arlington, Virginia - 1 day in the office

Pay Range: Fair market rate

What's the Job?

+ Build and maintain batch applications using Java, focusing on data migration tasks.

+ Perform data migration to and from PostgreSQL databases, including Greenplum and Amazon Redshift.

+ Upgrade Java and related software components as needed to ensure optimal performance.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and deliverables.

+ Participate in on-site activities approximately 20% of the time, supporting on-site and remote work environments.

What's Needed?

+ Proficiency in Java, particularly Java 8, with familiarity with Java 21 being a bonus.

+ Experience with Spring Batch and data migration processes.

+ Understanding of PostgreSQL, Greenplum, and Amazon Redshift databases.

+ Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

+ Work authorization to support U.S. government projects.
