Description
We are seeking a strategic, highly analytical Acquisitions Executive to join our Global Film Acquisitions team. In this role, you will lead deal negotiations end-to-end and shape acquisition strategies that support Amazon’s global film portfolio. You will source and secure externally produced films for distribution on Prime Video and for theatrical release through Amazon MGM Studios, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling content to customers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead negotiations for global and regional film licensing and acquisition deals
- Develop data-driven business models and valuation analyses to support deal recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including Content Strategy, Business Affairs, Marketing, Finance, and Creative teams—to align acquisition decisions with Amazon’s strategic objectives
- Develop and own strategy documents and presentations
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities qualitatively and quantitatively
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling
- Can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
- Experience in content acquisition or sync licensing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
