Verdantas is seeking a **Project Controls Specialist I** , as a support role to the Project Manager. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who possess an aptitude for organization, strong communication skills, and an eye for detail and problem-solving. Attention to detail will be a valued trait for updating project schedules and preparing project reports. Monitoring client document control systems to route project inquiries, review status changes, and track upcoming deliverables is a key aspect of this role. The Project Controls Specialist I should be proficient with Project Management software, utilizing Gantt charts. The role is responsible for maintaining project schedules using status updates provided by the project team as well as those conveyed through document control systems. This position is hybrid.
As a Project Controls Specialist I, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth. Monitoring client document control systems to route project inquiries, review status changes, and track upcoming deliverables is a key aspect of this position.
The Project Controls Specialist I will communicate frequently with project teams and Project Managers to monitor and report on design status, billing status, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will demonstrate the ability to identify problems, understand their root cause, and take ownership of resolving the problem.

What You'll Do:
+ Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets
+ Coordinate project activities, resources, and information to ensure project objectives are met
+ Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders
+ Prepare and distribute project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and presentations
+ Schedule and facilitate project meetings, ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively
+ Track and manage project risks, issues, and changes, escalating as necessary
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation
+ Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
+ Assist in the preparation of project proposals, contracts, and other project-related documents
+ Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards
What You'll Bring:
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 1-3 Years of Data Analysis Experience
+ Excellent Communication Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – particularly Excel
+ Past/Current experience as a project accountant, project controls, or project management
+ Experience in Microsoft Project, Vantagepoint, Power BI, Scheduling, or similar programs
Salary Range:
$55,600 - $71,600
