As a Hotel Laundry Attendant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our hotel and casino operations by ensuring a constant, reliable supply of clean linens. From washing and organizing linens to keeping equipment in top shape, you’ll help maintain the high standards our guests expect and our team relies on. Job Purpose:
The hotel laundry attendant’s primary responsibility is to ensure there is a contact supply of clean linens for hotel team members.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
+ Launder and maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel and casino departments by washing mops, napkins, hotel linen, and rags.
+ Maintains adequate supplies and maintains machines by keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
+ Maintains a safe work area by keeping laundry room, storage areas, and loading dock clean, organized, and clear of debris.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
+ 6 months of Hotel, Resort or Casino housekeeping and/or custodial experience
Desirable:
+ High School Diploma or G.E.D
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
+ Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
+ Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
+ Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
+ Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
+ Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to reach, push, pull, kneel and bend
+ Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
+ Ability to work independently
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality
+ Ability to appear for work on time
Desirable:
+ Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety
