• Facility Maintenance Technician I

You’ll be a Facilities Maintenance Technician based in The Villages, FL.

     

    * High School Diploma or GED

    * Minimum 5 years of experience in facility/plant engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    * A driver’s license required and must be verified.

    * Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

    * Experience with the following types of equipment: HVAC, Air Compressors, Pump and Plumbing Maintenance, Basic Electrical and Mechanical Skills are required.

    * Candidates will possess an intermediate knowledge of computers and software. Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Email.

    * Must have ability to work with basic mathematical concepts including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and solutions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    * Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

    * Understands business implications of decisions; treats people with respect; inspires the trust of others'; follows policies and procedures and supports organization's goals and values.

    * Associate must have experience and abide with OSHA guidelines including Lock-out/Tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines. Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer and subordinates.

    * Ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components.

    Ideally, you’ll have:

    * Vocational Tech, Trades School or Military Occupational Specialty preferred.
