    Overview

     

    Come join Team Atlantis! As Room service Manager you will be responsible managing the day-to-day operations of Room Service, including, but not limited to: Supervisors, cashiers, bussers, and food servers. Responsible for staff selection/interview process. Assists with training of new team members. Supervises and provides support and direction to all Room Service Team Members. Resolves Team Member issues and supports team building with positive and open communication. Actively Promotes positive guest relations, investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.

    + Support company philosophies, goals and mission statement.

    + Create and maintain a positive work environment that promotes a team concept.

    + Responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of a staff of highly qualified and trained team members who share the common goal of providing the absolute best service and guest experience possible.

    + Must be able to coach, reward and discipline team members for both positive and negative performance issues.

    + Monitor team member performance on a daily basis to ensure that all established guest service standards are being followed.

    + Responsible for ongoing day to day training so that team members know and understand exactly what is expected of them.

    + Must be actively involved in the practice of recruiting, interviewing and hiring new team members.

    + Needs to be proactive in the retention of current team members in an effort to reduce turnover expenses.

    + Responsible for the preparation of team member performance evaluations in a timely manner.

    + Responsible for scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels.

    + Needs to prepare and approve payroll records on a daily basis.

    + Must perform requested assignments in a timely manner.

    + Be involved in research, menu development and pricing strategies.

    + Responsible for remaining current and competitive with new products, trends, equipment and service techniques in our industry.

    + Responsible for increasing revenues through the use of suggestive selling techniques and the sale of receptions and private functions in our suites.

    + Responsible for decreasing expense through proper handling of product and proper Team Member training.

    + Must be actively involved in the reduction of expenses through portion control, following established condiment quantity per order standards and reducing loss and breakage of equipment.

    + Needs to be vigilant in protecting the company’s assets and funds.

    + Responsible for providing the team members all the tools they need to be successful.

    + Must establish par stocks on products and equipment, prepare daily orders from the storeroom and perform inventories as required.

    + Responsible for operating within budgeted guidelines.

    + Needs to review and understand P&L statements on a monthly basis and prepare variance report.

    + Must report needed repairs to engineering department and follow up to be certain that the work is completed.

    + Recruit, interview and recommend for hire.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    + Other duties as assigned my management.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    + 3 to 5 years high volume restaurant supervision or management experience.

    + Ability to obtain an Alcohol Awareness Certification.

    + Ability to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

    + Knowledge of beer, wine, and alcohol.

    + Good organizational skills.

    + Good interpersonal communication skills.

    + Knowledge in use of POS systems.

    + Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

    + Professional appearance in dress and manner.

    Technical Skills

    + Be able to operate and troubleshoot the InfoGenesis point of sales system.

    + Accurately prepare payroll records in the timeworks system.

    + Able to work with Stratton Warren, AS 400 and LMS systems.

    + Must use proper telephone etiquette at all times.

    + Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage stress successfully.

    + Responsible for handling guest complaints and concerns in a positive manner and performing guest recovery when needed.

    Performance Expectations:

    + Establishes concrete performance standards for both Team Members and room management.

    + Provides adequate structure, direction, and feedback to Team Members and room management.

    + Successfully identifies, analyzes, and solves problems.

    + Works well with guests and staff by maintaining a positive and approachable attitude.

    + Adheres and implements all safety and security policies and procedures
