    Painter and Blaster Technician

     

    Our manufacturing facility in Pueblo, CO is seeking a skilled **Painter & Blaster Technician** to join its production team. This role is essential in preparing and finishing parts through abrasive blasting and industrial painting processes. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in precision, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this position offers a strong long‑term opportunity.

     

    **Pay:** $20/hr

    **Shift:** Day shift, 12‑hour schedule (2‑3‑2 rotation)

    Key Responsibilities

    + Operate abrasive blasting equipment to remove rust, paint, scale, and other surface contaminants.

    + Prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or additional production steps by achieving required cleanliness and finish standards.

    + Set up and adjust blasting machines, including pressure settings, nozzle selection, and abrasive flow rates.

    + Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on blasting equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

    + Inspect blasted surfaces for proper roughness, cleanliness, and finish; report defects or inconsistencies.

    + Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE such as respirators, face shields, gloves, and protective suits.

    + Ensure ventilation and dust‑collection systems are functioning correctly.

    + Maintain a clean, organized work area by removing dust, debris, and spent abrasive materials.

    + Communicate with production team members to coordinate workflow and meet deadlines.

    + Support painting and coating processes as needed (spray gun, paint booth, prepping, etc.).

    Top Required Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Experience in industrial blasting or similar manufacturing/production environments.

    + Knowledge of blasting techniques, equipment operation, and surface preparation standards.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work instructions.

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    + Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

    + Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

    + Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety procedures.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, CO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
