Job Title: Retail Lead DesignerJob Description
The Retail Designer will use creativity to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing indoor and outdoor spaces. This role involves selecting important and decorative aesthetics such as finishes, lighting, décor, furniture, and architectural details for each design. The Retail Designer will regularly engage with clients to establish the design and work closely with the build team to ensure the integrity of the design is maintained.
Responsibilities
+ Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
+ Collaborate and communicate effectively with other designers.
+ Develop concept boards and store renderings based on each client’s unique vision.
+ Specify materials, furnishings, and décor.
+ Create final documentation and specifications for each project.
+ Coordinate with the construction team and other design consultants as needed.
+ Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
+ Guide junior designers on design standards and skills.
+ Assign and oversee support designers.
+ Redline renderings and final CAD sets.
+ Assist in packaging and sending out final design documents.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, and SketchUp.
+ Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
+ Ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once.
+ Sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors and exteriors.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Knowledge of final documentation, production, and detailing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Professional Interior Design or Architecture degree from a FIDER/CIDA accredited school.
+ Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an architecture or commercial interior design firm required.
+ Experience in retail or restaurant design preferred.
Work Environment
The position is based in-office in Fort Worth, with a preference for local candidates. There is potential for a hybrid work environment after training and proving capability. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
