Job Description: Quality Engineer
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting quality processes within the facility, analyzing information, and reporting research results to enhance quality systems. This role requires active communication and collaboration with other departments to address and resolve quality issues effectively.
Responsibilities
+ Comfortably work on the floor up to 50% of the time.
+ Support and improve quality processes within the facility.
+ Analyze information and report research results to support quality systems.
+ Communicate corrective actions or quality issues verbally and in writing.
+ Utilize Non-Conformance Reporting and Corrective Action Systems.
+ Inspect, test, document, and report findings.
+ Read and interpret specifications and part prints, including dimensional, physical, functional, and visual requirements.
+ Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
+ Perform product identification and traceability activities.
+ Collaborate with company personnel to resolve inspection questions.
+ Document information electronically in databases and other internal programs.
+ Conduct tests and quality checks on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
+ Ensure all products meet standards and specifications.
+ Follow clean-up and housekeeping procedures and comply with all Quality, Safety, and work rules.
+ Perform and document First Article Inspections.
+ Audit, monitor, and report on compliance with Quality System requirements.
+ Scan and file incoming material documentation.
+ Perform daily inventory cycle count and audit in stockroom.
+ Follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
+ Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) through various stages.
+ Gather information and provide certifications and related documentation to customers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in an electronics or electro-mechanical setting.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
+ Experience with first piece, in-process, and final inspection processes.
+ Proficiency with quality measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gages, oscilloscopes, etc.
+ Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
+ Capability to document quality findings.
+ Experience with non-conformance reporting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Engineering Degree
+ Experience in the medical or military sector

This is a Permanent position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bolingbrook,IL.
