    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Survey Drafter to support the design and documentation of land development and public works projects. In this role, you will prepare accurate survey drawings for municipal infrastructure, bridges, building sites, roadways, streetscapes, and residential and commercial developments. The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD and Civil 3D and is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare and maintain survey records, maps, exhibits, and technical documentation

    + Analyze raw survey data and create detailed, accurate drawings using CAD software

    + Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure precision and alignment across deliverables

    + Provide occasional technical guidance and support to field crews

    + Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and quality guidelines

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on survey drafting

    + Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D

    + Solid understanding of land surveying principles, workflows, and related software tools

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    + Experience with MicroStation

    + Experience with OpenRoads

    + Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

    + Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment

    You will be part of a close-knit, professional, and family-oriented team that values work-life balance, continuous learning, and mutual support. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility available as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
